After Ghajini, actor Aamir Khan has just finished his shooting for his next upcoming film Three Idiots, directed by Rajkumar Hirani. This is Aamir’s next release after Ghajini. The movie is to be released in 2009.

Hirani has signed Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan, Boman Irani and Kareena Kapoor for his film. The film is based on a famous novel, Five Point Someone by Indian writer Chetan Bhagat. However, the story is completely different but will be set in an engineering college. Vidhu Vinod Chopra will be producing the film whilst Abhijat Joshi and Raju Hirani have written the screenplay. The film?s soundtrack will be composed by Shantanu Moitra with lyrics penned by Swanand Kirkire.

Aamir Khan's character in his forthcoming film 3 Idiots is named Rancho.
