Dhobi Ghat (Hindi Movie) is an upcoming Hindi Bollywood Drama film. This Hindi film is being produced and directed by Kiran Rao as her directorial debut and produced under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions and starring Bollywood stars Aamir Khan and Prateek Babbar. Aamir Khan plays one of the lead roles in the movie as a painter. Gustavo Santaolalla was signed to compose the score and soundtrack of the film. It's music is expected to release in the first week of Jan.
Dhobi Ghat had its world premiere in September 2010 at the Toronto International Film Festival.
Dhobi Ghat has four characters in lead roles. Arun (Aamir Khan) is a seclusive modern art painter. Shai (Monica Dogra) is an Indian American banker who is on a visit to Mumbai. Munna (Prateek Babbar) is a washerboy. Yasmin (Kriti Malhotra) is the former resident of Arun's flat. The movie is about these four characters from different classes of society and how their lives are interwined.
