No One Killed Jessica (Hindi Movie) is an upcoming masala, political thriller, Hindi Bollywood Drama film. This Hindi film is being directed by Rajkumar Gupta, who had earlier directed the acclaimed film Aamir (2008) and produced by UTV Spotboy and starring Bollywood stars Rani Mukerji, Vidya Balan, Neil Bhoopalam, Rajesh Sharma, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Bubbles Sabharwal, Yogendra Tikku, Geeta Sudan, Shireesh Sharma, Samara Chopra and many more. Rani Mukerji and Vidya Balan are in the lead roule of the film. The film will have music by Amit Trivedi, who earlier gave music in Dev D (2008). Vidya Balan plays the character of Jessica’s elder sister, Sabrina Lal, Rani is set to play a reporter.
This political thriller movie is set in New Delhi and it was believed to be based on the controversial Jessica Lal murder case. But the director of No One Killed Jessica denied all the rumors and clarified that the title and the script are actually inspired by a headline carried out by The Times Of India in 2006, when the accused in the infamous murder case were acquitted by the lower courts, leading to nationwide protests, reopening of the case and subsequent sentencing of the accused, and not the case per se.
